A Call For More Tax Policy Details

July 7 - The Atlantic Journal-Constitution ran an article yesterday, calling for Senators McCain and Obama to elaborate on the details of their tax plans. In describing some of the differences between the candidates' tax plans, the article pointed out the great uncertainty which currently exists. It notes that:

"The McCain and Obama proposals are both, as of now, bullet-point sketchy, to put it charitably... Given that both plans would reduce tax revenues and increase the national debt in a time of deficits, details need to be forthcoming soon."
